...Many years later she went on to university where she received a degree in Speech and Theatre. Kristin furthered her education with 18 M.A. credits in Performance Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Kristin combines theatre with storytelling to create educational and entertaining programs. Before embarking on her journey as a Professional Storyteller, Ms Pedemonti  worked as a Children's Librarian for 10 years and enjoyed perfecting her storytelling techniques with a vibrant group of children in the Upper Perkiomen Valley. She has performed as a professional storyteller since 2001.

Many of her stories are collected on her real-life volunteer travels throughout Belize and Guatemala where much of her time was spent in villages; she listened to folks from the various cultures share their stories. Her hope is to preserve the stories and to teach the children not only the stories, but also how to write their own stories so they will live on for generations to come.
